Generalized Robotic Control System for Surgical Assistance
March 1, 2025

03/2025 – 02/2029 | Outstanding Young Scientist Grants, NRF
- Development of a generalized robotic control system capable of performing surgical assistance tasks by integrating voice commands and multimodal sensing (vision, haptics, force, depth, etc.)
- Ensuring reliability in real surgical environments through high-speed real-time control, lightweight deployment in resource-constrained settings, and personalized adaptation based on clinician preferences
- Validation of the system’s effectiveness through collaboration with hospitals, aiming to enhance surgical accuracy and reduce the burden on medical personnel
- Expandable into a universal robotic platform applicable to a wide range of precision tasks beyond surgical assistance
